Injury Prevention and Recovery Strategies

A star athlete or “weekend warrior” isn’t just great at their chosen activity. They’re also versed in the importance of injury prevention and recovery strategies. In order to perform at the highest level consistently, you need to ensure the body is prepared to handle the demands of the chosen activity without risk of injury. The human body also requires proper recovery in order to heal the different systems that have been stressed during activity or daily life.

By neglecting injury prevention and recovery strategies, you place increased stress/strain on the bodies systems, and eventually this leads to injury or over-training syndrome. The body is a well-oiled machine when given the right care. Just like you take in a vehicle for routine maintenance and oil changes, you should provide yourself with “maintenance”.
